Shawnigan Lake Museum has a consistent 5 Star rating. It may
look like a small museum, but Shawnigan has a big story, and we are
certain that you will be surprised. Knowledgeable guides enhance
your visit by sharing the history of Shawnigan Lake with interesting
anecdotes and details about the history of Shawnigan (the story is
bigger than you might think), and the many artifacts and exhibits on
display.
You can watch historical slide shows on the 8-foot
screen from the plush seats in the surround-sound old-time theatre,
enrich your knowledge of famous local artist, EJ Hughes, by visiting
the special gallery.
And, we will share what you need to
know about the Kinsol Trestle and how it inspires – we have a 3 foot
and 10-foot model of the trestle.
